What’s the difference between a clevis hanger and a riser clamp?
A clevis hanger supports horizontal pipe runs, hanging from a rod above. A riser clamp supports vertical pipe (a “riser”) where it passes through a floor or wall, bearing the pipe’s weight at that point instead of hanging it. Most multi-story mechanical jobs need both.
